Artist Statement

My work explores the juxtaposition of comfort with feelings of

unease—through dreamlike imagery and bold, confrontational visuals. Together, these approaches allow me to express both intensity and rebellion as well as softness and reflection. I am a multidisciplinary artist working across digital art, oil painting, graphite sketching, and tattooing, creating two distinct yet connected styles: grungy, statement-driven imagery and vibrant, surreal landscapes that draw from the recesses of memory and the uncanny. 

I create as a form of release and healing, using art to communicate what words

often cannot. My dreamscape works are inspired by a hazy, almost 1990s-2000s nostalgia, shaped by feelings of déjà vu and déjà rêvé—moments that feel familiar yet distant, comforting yet slightly eerie. In contrast, my grungy pieces are driven by a need to speak loudly and confront emotion head-on. Across both styles, I aim to create an emotional pull that invites viewers into a space where curiosity, nostalgia, and discomfort coexist. Themes of rebellion, childhood, and mental health run throughout my work, reflecting personal experience through an intuitive, spontaneous process.
